Advanced Diploma of Project Management

Overview

The Advanced Diploma of Project Management provides a working knowledge of program management as well as an understanding of methods, techniques and tools to successfully deliver a multiple projects. The training is delivered in a workshop style and is facilitated by experienced trainers who encourage open discussions to enable the participants to gain insight into how to apply the learned theory of program management to their own organisation and programs.

Pre-requisites

Diploma of Project Management or its equivalent with at least 2 years of project management experience managing multiple, complex projects; OR At least 5 years of project management experience based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) managing multiple, complex projects.

  • Directing the integration of multiple projects and programs.
  • Work breakdown structure (WBS), define, plan and manage program scope
  • Activity sequencing for programs, direct and mange program schedules
  • Direct program quality planning, assurance and control
  • Program cost estimation, budget and control.
  • Direct program team, management and development.
  • Program information distribution, performance reporting and stakeholder management
  • Program risk identification, qualitative and quantitative analysis, risk response planning, monitoring and control
  • Direct program purchases and acquisitions, contracting, select sellers, contract administration and closure.

 Outcomes

  • A vocational Advanced Diploma of Project Management, AQF Level 6.
  • 30 CPDs issued to members of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)
  • 40 PDUs to members of the Project Management Institute (PMI), meeting the prerequisites for PMP Exam
  • Advanced standing credits toward MBA and MSc programs at Murdoch University.
